Renovate the current prayer area into comfortable prayer room with the support of the community to the best of the available resources.
A Safe, Private, and Comfortable Prayer Space for Sisters
A dedicated and private prayer area for sisters, designed to ensure comfort, focus, and full privacy. The space is secure with grills, cameras, and an alarm system, and includes essential amenities like lighting, seating, carpets, and a bell system. It is climate-controlled with HVAC and thermostat settings, and maintained as a clean, fresh, and welcoming environment.
Project Start Date: August 1, 2026
Scope: Depending on the available funds, we will review and finalize how best to utilize the collected funds:
- Funding target achieved: Proceed as per the scope defined in this document.
- Funding collected around 50K: Proceed with a phased approach to complete whatever is possible.
- Funding collected less than 45K: MAB BOD will review and decide on the scope and provide an update to the community.
Project Details
Immediate Items/Areas to address
Draft
- Fix all cracks and holes around perimeter of the building (inside/outside) to STOP draft and insecticides.
- Fix all exterior door frames from inside/outside to STOP the draft.
- Removes the tiles surround the base of the wall.
Walls
- Remove all Glasses and wooden work from the walls.
- Remove all old wooden trim from the doors.
- Do not remove metal trim from the windows.
- Make the wall ready for drywall patching,
- Replace the damaged drywall with new drywall.
- Sand, mud and tape the walls to bring to a nicer state.
Electrical
- Remove all old lights from the walls.
- Remove all fans from the ceiling.
- Remove all Ceiling Lights, plugs and switches.
- Add modern lighting as agreed.
- Replaces plug outlets and switches with newer style.
Ceiling
- Replace all old fall ceiling with similar newer ceiling.
Storage Access Door
- Replace or Nicely paint the door within the theme of the hall.
Washroom Access
- Add a new door to the washroom from the hall.
Exterior Metal Door
- Nicely paint the door within the theme of the hall.
Small TV
- Remove the small TV from the wall.
Sound System
- The sound system is good but still team will review the sound quality and get the feedback from sisters.
- Make sure we have mic option o do the programs if needed in the sisters area.
Exterior Glass Door and Large Window
- Make a fresh layer of paint to make it more presentable and private from outside.
- Deep clean /paint the metal frame of the door and window.
Interior Glass Doors
- Must be either painted to match the theme of the all or replace the doors.
- Cover the door glasses.
Ceiling stages
- Hide the stucco wither by scratching or putting a layer of drywall for all three stages.
Smart Thermostat
- Install a new smart thermostat not less than 5 feet height. Controlled by cell phone
Finishing
- Nice new base board and trim throughout depending upon the available budget.
- Paint them should be well defined as per the available budget.
Carpeting
- Sub floor must be installed first
- High quality under padding.

Next steps
The proposed planned date to start this project is August 01, 2026. Provided we collect over 55K for this project. If we are unable to collect the targeted amount, we will proceed with modified changes within the budget and will update the community accordingly during 2nd week of July.
